Hi Marc....I'm guessing you paint with acrylics. If so, I'd think Vallejo English Uniform would be a good start for a WW2 uniform.

I would add basic flesh tone or sand for the highlights, and German cammo black-brown for the shadows.
Hope that's a starting point for you.

Vallejo makes a good basic set for British, German, Russian and US WW2 figures. Link to to the British set:

No need to buy the whole set if you have plenty of paint, just use the references and mix up something close. Khaki and Buff are good for highlighting, and US Olive Drab (70.887) is good for shadows, as is the Dark Camo Brown already mentioned.

Quote from another recent thread. I just wonder what you get from opening that kind of threads Marc - regardless what account name you use Mcsneed etc.
You will never paint anything but you enjoy waisting the time of others playing this game - why?

the difference is when I was asking for help I had two things stopping me from painting one was work and the other was being a caregiver at night to my late mother any more questions also the fact I had no one to go to for any information during this period which was from 70's to the 90's I hope these helps you now .
