Hello All,
I purchased a Cavalry Soldier that has been painted and damaged by previous owners. Someone had started painting him and had accomplished a relatively decent job of painting. It originally was mounted on a small wooden stand which was unfinished.
I have been in the process of trying to determine if it was a single figure or part of a group when it originally came out.
As much as I have tried, I have not been able to locate the manufacture of this figure. It is approximately 75 MM tall and seems to come from the 1960s or '70s. Based on the Winchester rifle, pistol, and hat, he seems to come from the U.S. Plaines War of the 1870s or '80s.

Any help in identifying the maker and era will be appreciated.

It is from Clydecast. It was first produced in the Eighties. It is a Plains War Cavary figure

Thank you very much for your information. I used it with this websites nostalgia old catalog link to find him. I was able to look him up and determine that the figure came with the small stand I received it on. Now to repair the broken spur and decide whether I want to add a horse to help bring a story forward with the trooper.

Hope you looked at the XLS file with the pictures in coulours
I composed that list when Clydecast annouced their were closing

Thank you for all your efforts to save the information on Clydcast and other manufacturers that are defunct. Yes the XLS file was beneficial for Clydcast as well as the Almond Figure files.
