Ignore the other Medusa to the left. ;)

Nice base reminded my of volcanic soil...

One of her victims. I painted the skin like rock but left the armor as
armor. I later added a little rust to make things look old.

Brown tone for tail, Gloss black to go under the metallics.

Pic w/ soda can for size comparison.
Her arm w/ arrow added. Thought the arrow would be the weak point,
but found a drop of glue on the point firmed everything up and eliminated
the bend in the arrow shaft.

    Thanks guys!

H: IIRC the order was painless, as it arrived pretty promptly. I hope you find the same.
Mike: I hear ya... everyone can't like everything. Appreciate the kind words tho. :)

    Well, it's looking good Kev.
I received a real nice email from Sergei Kusov last night informing that they'd got my order. Also he'll print out the Chinese version of our address that I sent him and ensure it's visible on the shipping box.
Something as simple as that almost guarantees delivery over here - and definitely guarantees repeat orders.
El Greco in the UK do the same thing with our address and I've never had an order from them "go missing in the post", which is one of the main reasons why they get so much of my business.
I just hope that when it arrives I can do as good a job on my example as you've done on yours....(y)

Nice work!! And Harry, you are so right! Service always prooves itself àfter the deal. Those who really dowhat they promise plus that little extra have the best chance to stay in business. Though trust comes by foot it tends to leaves on horseback...

    Absolutely Hans.
    Service Above and Beyond is the main reason why my hobby orders can pretty much be broken down as approximately;
    65% to El Greco.
    25% to Historex Agents.
10% to retailers who supply items the first two normally don't, such as S'n'M Stuff, Chronos Miniatures, and now Zabavka Workshop.
None of these people have ever let me down, in fact they've gone out of their way to be helpful....:)....but they can send me a cheque for the free publicity anytime they like....:D
Anyway, enough from me. Lets chat about Kev's brilliant figure.

    Cheers

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Yes, Black Heart is like the king of 1:1 busts, and I do think they have the Harryhausen Medusa. They also started doing mini busts a short time ago, tho I forget if they did a small Medusa. I have a few of their others, and they are all very well done.

At one time they had a 360 bust must be sold out . Sorry
  20. I hope it's okay for me to do some threadomancy (please let me know if it's not), but I got this figure on the painting desk now, and yours seems to be the only painted reference online. Luckily it's painted really, really well. :D The pattern on the snake body is excellent.

I put the figure together this afternoon, and it's very pretty and I'm rather looking forward to painting it. While putting the figure together I noticed some things though (apparently she's left-handed, but wears a wrist guard (inner and outer) on her left arm. I watched a video in shooting an ancient greek composite bow, and the guy in the video didn't wear a wrist guard either, so I guess it's not a problem with that sort of bow), and I wondered what you thought of them when working with the figure. My main concern is that with this pose it's impossible to fit a senew to the bow. Did you consider adding one to the bow and ran into the same problem? I tried some dry-fitting, but couldn't work out a way to do that without her head being in the way.

Anyway, just something I noticed from putting the figure together and I was wondering what the only other person who posted about this figure thought about it. :D Great job on the figure!
