I have to ask, in your initial posting, who is the second figure (in the mirror) thats taking a picture with their camera? (smile)...

    Looking really nice so far....

Watching this one with great interest as I am getting the set in the next batch...

    Regards, Ben

Five figures done, added an old Sgt, leading his men over the top. Need to tidy up a few bits and pieces and add the two final pieces of the jigsaw. Thanks to Grod for the few pieces to finish off the base. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Becoming more spectacular with every addition, I am sure that your SBS will prompt others to get this kit.

Quick update, 6 figures nearly done. Rifle slings to be done. Added tin triangles to back packs as worn by The Accrington Pals. 20190602_145829.jpg

Fantastic progress. I received my set a couple of weeks ago and this is motivating me to start it.

We are our own worst critic.
I have participated a couple of times, even though I never expected to win anything (for the record, I haven't :p), merely took this as a gauge to see where I am versus the better painters, and to help me find the next goal for improving my skillset.

However, I was each time presently surprised how many votes I got, so thank you for all those that have voted for me in the past.(y)

6 figures down. Last Lewis gunner to go. I spoke with a WW1 veteran at Lochnager crater near Ovillers in the early 1990's who recounted he had gone over the bags with the Royal Fusiliers on 1st July 1916 and before going he pinned his girlfriends last letter to a sandbag in the trench with a bayonet. He obviously survived and I've tried to recreate this in the trench scene. 20190603_160812.jpg
