Very nice figure but it should read 'Coldstream Guards'.

Lovely figure but didnt light company colour sergeants in the guards carry rifles and not spontoons. He would also have had a bayonet etc.

I may be wrong but i thought centre company colour sergeants carried the spontoon.

looking closer, you are right Stu, no badges on the turn back suggest light company, as do the epaullets.
the shako plate is a cracker though, the 1810-15 plate.

Bryan Fosten's series of books on the Guards at Waterloo (published by Almark) suggests that sergeants of grenadier companies also carried the pike as well as those in battalion companies. Stu is right that those in light companies were armed with a fusil instead. With regard to the shoulder wings, grenadier companies also wore them in similar pattern to the light company, the difference being the presence of a grenade decoration as opposed to a hunting horn in the light company, worn on the shoulder strap. The photos don't show a view that allows us to see the detail of the shoulder wings from above to confirm on this particular point, but the shoulder straps of the haversack probably cover them anyway. Fosten isn't particularly clear on coat-tail ornaments, unusually for him, so can't offer any guidance on that point. It seems to suggest that only the battalion companies had badges on the coat-tail turnbacks, but it's not absolutely clear and I defer to other authorities on this point. Based on this, our man looks like a grenadier company Colour Sgt.

Good afternoon, friends and colleagues! Many thanks for your attention, comments and feedback! Especially for pointing out an error in the spelling, it will, of course, be corrected on the finished product box. Thanks again and best regards from Russia,
