    Hi all,
After 3 years away from my brush, I started painting again and I've finished painting my 2nd female figure in my life.
    hope you like her.

Fantastic painting ! Flesh tones are really hard to do well. You have made it look so natural. But the face... that is most amazing. That look in her eye - you really nailed it.

Thanks a lot, Paul! I've been trying my new way of painting face, less contrast and more natural tones. I'm glad you like her. :)

Thanks a lot, housecarl. I've been focused on sculpting and digital for almost 3 years so I haven't painting for a long time, but I'm learning sculpting and anatomy a lot so I've been watching many references (both real human and other peoples sculpting and painting works) every day. I think that's why I haven't lost my skills.

Super paintwork on this piece. The face in particular with those subtle tones looks great. Having never done a female figure I would really have to muster up some extra confidence to attempt this beauty.

Beautiful work Kaz, seems the three years away has not affected your skill in painting.

Wayne, John, Steve, and Marc "megroot", Thank you very much for your comments!

    Talking about "away from brush"...

I've learnt "learn paint without paintbrush" theory from the book written by a Japanese artist. And, unlike sports or physical trainings, art skills won't fade away. It's not physical matters but brain matters. So It just stops and remain in your brain where you stopped it. You can even keep updating it without using brush, as long as you keep painting in your brain with using your imagination.

That's what I've been doing and experimenting while I'm away from brush. I've been sculpting, watching other peoples any kind of art works, both figures in 3D and 2D, everyday. :)

You've pretty much nailed it on head kaz. The practice of visualization in doing anything, Is probably one of the most important things I have learned in life. If you can see it in your mind along with determination it will surely happen. Whatever it might be. Very hard to explain in depth.

Thank you very much, Wayne. I understand what you meant to say, and I'm glad to have your precious words.
I love reading books like "Thoughts make things", so I totally agree with your opinion.
Without drawing a picture in mind it won't be visualized in life, something like that.
