When I said to my animal loving Carole we were getting a dog ...she was delighted ....but ....think she thought something else in mind and not a resin one ...lol

Following on from Richie's WIP on the PIP the terrier and recently posts he decided to cast a few up and are now available on the 1879 miniatures website

I purchased one fom Richie with ease and it was sent very quickly

So I decided to get I ready and primed

Little bit of filler needed but I also lengthened the holster and added a handle peeking out leading to a lanyard round Pip's neck

Also added a repair patch on each elbow

Replaced the spear shaft with suitably sized cocktail sticks , doing a bit of a rounded end , and drilled the bayonet handle out

Not added whiskers at the moment but will do it later ....waiting fo eyebrow growth ..lol

Currently mounted on what will be a temp base , will replace with a knotty one from Pete Watson of Pete's Bases

UPDATE !! ....after a battle with Caroles eyebrow scissors ..he now has whiskers !

Definately something different in Pip and not a medal in sight !

Just need to complete the little bit of lacework on my " Soldíer of the Raj " in my thread "Couple of Indian Army" in V bench

Hi everyone

Been working on Pip , the head and eyes in particular, will put catch lights on the eyes and possibly highlight the fur and ears a bit more but we are getting there ....must admit he does look quite angry from certain views!!
