This site is a great one for detailed refs for all those bits'n'pieces that are rather vague on the usual uniform pics. Mainly repro/reenactment items but most are modelled on the real thing and give a good idea of how the items actually looked and were worn (eg, anyone whose seen real uniforms will be struck by just how close fitted some were, eg dolmans and sleeves generally: the site mentions this).

boots, boots, boots (including how those buckles worked): https://en.empirecostume.com/boots-shoes-and-buckles-c148.htm
    dolmans/pelisses: https://en.empirecostume.com/pelisses-dolmans-husars-c370.htm

Of course the best source has got to be the real deal at the Invalades' Musee de L'Armee, a great place to visit but lousy for photos. Their website is OK but doesn't seem to have a full photocatalogue and I've yet to suss out how to narrow down the searches other than just 'uniforme/1792-1871' and that misses out a lot of what they actually have on display... anybody know of a better source ref this?

Thanks: now found it and hope to visit some day (tho' doubtful). I see that many items seem to be on loan from the Musee de L'Armee and, as there, they're under dim lighting to help preserve them.

However, although they have some pics on the site, I can't find the 'plenty of pics' that Ronaldo refers to?
