    THEME COLLECTION VOL.2 IS OUT!
    https://www.mrblackpublications.com/THEME_COLLECTION_VOL2/p1000980_19261865.aspx

This is the second book in our new series of Scale Model Handbook Special Editions “Theme Collection” offering previously published articles from our “Editions Collection” where the content is dedicated to a common theme. This second book is about knights, especially those who participated in the period covering the Nine Crusades in the Holy Land, which is a popular subject for miniature figure modellers. Future titles in this new series will feature carefully chosen articles, grouped together into specific themes.
The books are produced using a high-quality digital printing process giving excellent quality illustrations, using 300g matt laminated velvet paper for the covers, with 150g velvet paper inside and all perfect bound with special glue!
As always, thanks must go to all our contributors for their support and for sharing their secrets with us. Nice to see a special that is not dedicated to WW2-hope this sells well for you Stelios, would be nice to see one on Napoleonics or Ancients as well.

Maybe an 18th century & Napoleonics version with NO Waffen SS in the future. Also, oil painting as well as the ubiquitous acrylics would be nice.

    Hello, friends in planefigure,
As you can see we heard your voices. Let see how the Knights & Crusaders in Scale will go as The WWII German Military Forces in Scale is selling rather well. We have in the row, 2nd Germans, 1st Ancients and we are preparing for near future Skintone Painting Guide. Napoleonics...I have very few articles... Perhaps my artists are more focusing in other ERAS so much...
So now you will give the opportunity to ask:
Let me know how many of you will be interested to make articles or small books in:
    1. acrylics
    2. oils
    3. enamels
for the books will be something from the start to the highest level, how to use them etc.
I would like to hear your ideas:). If you wish both mediums quote both media.

    All the best

Oil..and as far as eras..anything but 20th century which has been done to death..the technique as-eats have been disappointing..it’s so much paint by numbers rather than offering guidelines to light, shadow, colour mixing..the books have become depictions lists of premixed colours from specific brands. Maybe needs be an e version..I have every one of the books, but not interested in the compendium of reprints.none of this is criticism, far from it..your labour is intense and the quality of the books exceeds those of MIG, and other print hobby books..by far..I want the series to continue..but I want to be buying because I see something fresh rather than more of what I have already. Oh..maybe interviews with artists...some reference material to go with era dedicated issues..don’t cover shows..social media do that well enough.

Good you have more outlets..try to get articles on oils, your proposed skintone one...the collections don’t add anything as I have all the individual issues..there may already be sufficient acrylic info out there..altho the new kimera paints might be interesting topic for an article...

I'm with Grasshopper.....any era up to 1900 and OILS please. I tend to concentrate on busts now but still dabble with the occasional 75mm.(y)

A lot of calls for SBS stuff in oils here, do I see a resurgence in this medium and a move away from painting by numbers .
Having said that there is a lot of info available already in oils , just not a lot put into books .

    Hi Stelios

Well done on compiling these new style additions to the range

For me I would like to see this format but with different articles than in the excellent other releases

Definately think one on Oils and why not mixed media like DEL says .....water soluable oils + Acrylics ....Kimera colours would be interesting as well to think of .

A period for me would be Victorian not necessarily Zulu ( sorry Richie ...lol ) ,there are lots of small conflicts as well and many interesting subjects from full dress to campaign uniforms .

Also agree with grasshopper ref ebooks and downloads as well

    Good luck with this edition
