    Hello all,

Today we sadly received the news from Sophia Histoire et Collection that Figurines (and Militaria) magazines are being discontinued.

There was not additional information in the letter, nor is there any such information on the website or Facebook. However it is sad to see the demise of another magazine.

Therefore Issue no. 121 was the last issue of this miniatures magazine.

Sad to see, but inevitable - they refused to publish in English.

    Hi Guys

Another magazine gone ...shame but as BP says ..no English version ...would have made a difference I feel.

I get the Napoleonic one called Soldat from Hiedemal ( think that's spelt right ..probably not !! ) ...really good ...hope that doesn't stop ( PF member Zastrow Cuirassier has posted about this )

Thanks for letting everyone know Celine

Not a big loss, the new version was indequate for me
Prefer the new magazine " Soldat"
    https://www.editions-heimdal.fr/fr/74-soldat
Contains lot and lot of uniforms references and have added some pages about New Figurine on the market, perfectly descibed and labelled, some photos report on exhibitions and painting/transformartion; a perfect replacement of the old Figurine magazine according to me

I looked at in now and then at the club.
I'm pretty sure that they have done it in Englisch it should always be there.
It's a shame that they haven't done that.
    Another one is gone.
I'm happy with the Illustrated Historical Artist.

It is a very sad news to read !

It had the advantage over Soldat to have a broader scope than just army uniforms of the XIX an XX century, such as fantastic, flats paintings, exhibitions and contests reporting with a very broad scope, as we see that fans of figurines are not limited to tw centuries of war subjects.
It was building some links, bridges between the painters of these subjects instead of walls, and therefore' was very useful.
E-old dominates our behaviours more and ore nowadays, and all magazines and newspapers are facing the same dilemme, with less and less readers...
I was a fan without subscription but buying from press corners... and take off my hat !
