Excellent figurine, superb in every way.
Excellent, almost perfect representation of a French soldier of the Great War.
Compared to the documentation, one can even locate the period, 1917/18.
Young soldier class 1918/19 called in advance.
And this soldier is not in the front line, but at rest or training or waiting to go online. No nascent beard, no helmet and no whiskers (this disappears in the French style towards the end of the war)

Excellent pics.
Jon did a bust of the original guy but changed the head to a kepi version for the full figure.

Love this painting style - and love the frog the poor animal might be in a dangerous place.

Great figure, well sculpted, natural pose, fantastic paint job, congratulations. Would be a good idea to supply alternative head wearing Adrian helmet, I always think that is synonymous of a WW1 French soldier, but very well done.

It does have an alternative head with helmet!!

The bust, the 1:16 and the 1:32 figure comes with two heads. And you can buy the frog alone in 1:16 and 1:32. A nice gimmick

Its amazing how beautifull painted this is.
The base is also great.

For information, this shooter Chauchat is the 62nd Infantry Regiment, easy it is marked on the collar.
Small peculiarity, he also wears a British medal. The Military Medal.

Only the photo of the helmeted soldier shows us this one with this decoration (quite high in the order of the English military decorations -only 115000 for WWI awarded, and rare on French soldiers of base)

Nice painting but I really like seeing a full figure from Jon Smith. It's been a while and this is a figure with astounding detail and character (as well as a frog!)
