Does anyone have any information what's happened to TimeLines, the figure discussion pages by Grey Creager? It's been down for a week. It was down for a day, then back up, but since then, nothing. I don't have a current email for Grey.
    Thanks!

As I've had the same issues as Jim with accessing the TimeLines Forum lately, I started checking out their Facebook page, which states (posted on 4 October):
"TimeLines Forum is down again and has been since Tuesday. I know about it. I've contacted the ISP. They are not being responsive to me. - GC"

Hope they'll be able to sort out this problem.

I do, too. I'm not a fan of Facebook in any shape, form or fashion.

Yeah, I hit that error trying to access TL on Wednesday and then I went to Grey's FB group and asked. He replied with the info shared above, but then added that his ISP had servers down on Sunday, including the one where TL resides. He didn't indicate whether those the outage was planned or not. He added that TL's server was up again Monday, but it was down again Tuesday, and down ever since.

Right now, when I try to access the forum index page, I get an error:

    [IMG] Database error
The database has encountered a problem.
    Please try the following:
    • Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
    • Open the www.timelinesforum.com home page, then try to open another page.
    • Click the Back button to try another link.
The www.timelinesforum.com forum technical staff have been notified of the error, though you may contact them if the problem persists.

    We apologise for any inconvenience.

I suspect that his ISP's issues are not yet completely resolved.

    Prost!

Yeah, I would say it's an unexpected outage, as we say in the biz. And for an outage to last this long, it could be something like a hardware failure. Having worked on things like this, I imagine that the staff are working 'round the clock or close to it, to resolve the issue. For users, it's tough, because 99.99% of the time, a site or an application is available and working, and we don't even think of it.

    Prost!

You're a far smarter man than I about such matters, Gunga Din! I'm just an old analog guy trapped in a digital world. I'm barely smart enough to work my 'smart' phone. It probably sneers at my lack knowledge and clumsiness.

Still down today, too, by the way. Must be a serious problem.

Grey's ISP must have resolved the issues, because TimeLines is up now.

Well, it looks like Grey's ISP has problems again. When I try to access the forum now, I get, "Server not found" again.

    Prost!
