Why?

Very disappointing that the thread about recasting was closed. Finally a longer discussion thread that could (potentially) still go somewhere constructive and is without insults, personal attacks or swearing...and good particpation and view count....and it gets shut down.

    Why close it?
For the simple reason we have seen these threads before?
Sorry, but closing threads should be reserved for extreme cases that violate PF policy, and not to stay away from potentially heated topics alltogether. As long as we behave, we should be able to discuss anything, particularly if it is related to an important issue in our hobby.

I fnd this very offputting....just my opinion of course.

Agreed, but there were indications of self repeating circles in several posts - still found it interesting to read.

My thoughts about these problems were not fully covered by others - due to the closing of the thread one more thought here:
Today´s offerings are stunning and so plenty that at least I cannot recall all companies and cottage industries that offer their products. This adds to the problem to earn some bucks as before not that many sculptors ran their own businesses but worked as freelancers or were employed by a limited number of brands that did not offer new releases on an almost daily basis. While this is great for the hobbyists it might have an impact on the income (and the calculation of the price level to make a profit) of the many competitors within this market likewise.
    Cheers, Martin

I personally thought it was a bit off too but forums are all benevolent dictatorships.

Thank you for gathering all these addresses but isn`t this list and the large number of names above an impressive backup for my initial statement about the discrepancy between the flood of new releases and the number of hobbyists that shall buy them to allow the producers to make money??
