How about a spent cartridge flying out of the breech?

I would take a little piece of cable isolation, close one end and glue it to the breech in an angle.Don´t know in which direction the cartridge flies out.I remember a docu about the battle of Isandlwana from Ian Knight in which the problem of the hot chambers, that are a reason for jamming, are shown. The cartridges are folded and not pulled from brass.A good picture from flying cartridges is shown by a figure from Doug Cohen in an old Historical Miniature Magazin. It shows a BAR-gunner from Dragon.

    Hi Chris,
If you want to represent a spent cartridge ejecting from the breech, you could use one of these for the cartridge. Just for an added piece of detail grind the top of the Martini breech down at an angle and drill a hole in to represent the hole in the (breech) barrel.
    cheers

    Looking good

A good subject nicely sculpted and the idea of the cartridge is good ...I would also add a Zulu spear to the base ...stuck in the ground perhaps

Looking forward to seeing this being painted

    Thanks for sharing

Thanks Nap, yep, have ordered the 'cartridges' and originally wanted a shield, wont have the room on base so a spear or something is on the cards.
