The base in camo is a nice idea!

Not to mention heavy to post. I’ve raised this with Ant Miniatures and the reply was that resin in Russia is difficult to source and is expensive.

    Nice figures, nonetheless.

Strange reply, plenty of other Russian manufacturers seem to get hold of resin OK: Irbis and Altores to name but two.

Yeah, and Assault Models as a third. It struck me as weird, too.

I don't buy the "difficult to source" line at all, as Richard points out plenty of other Russian figure makers don't appear to have that issue with resin (Evolution is another to add to the list).

I like the 'heft' of white metal (especially for larger pieces) but resin I think definitely makes for sharper and crisper castings, and would be my preferred choice every time. And I've spoken to plenty of guys who feel the same.

    Lovely figures though.

    Great figures!

If I remember correctly, the response from Viktor was that these figures are primarily aimed at domestic Russian market, and most are bought painted. ANT did a 120mm figure in resin a long long time ago, but I guess it wasn't a big success as they returned to metal with their following releases. The company has vast experience with casting metal.

As for the medium, ANT Miniatures 1/35 scale figures are done in resin, but the company does not have resin casting capabilities and these smaller scale figures are outsorced.

stand-it is not painted in the colors of camouflage, it is made of stone. I've also mastered the opportunity to put figures on a stone in the last month

Hi Mario, ANT did the 1/16 Assault gunner in resin, and it is absolutely gorgeous. And now difficult to find.

Superb set, beautiful figurines and beautiful painting! Special mention for the base that goes superbly well with the trio of soldiers! Congratulations and thank you for this great news!(y)

Kylie, yes that's correct. I reviewed that one both in 1/35 and in 1/16. It was made in cooperation with Peter Samofalov and due to the modular concept and huge amount of pieces it was cast in resin by an outsourced company which delayed the production of the figure.

But even before that one ANT did the 1/16 scale figure in Viktor's avatar in resin as well. I think it was sold on Hobby Easy.
