Ambitious to say the least......But it looks good.....Make sure you double check scale scale scale in relation to the boat and surrounding detail....Don't get lost while focusing on the figures as you may find yourself needing a bigger boat. Keep up the good work....

Thanks Wayne, the boat has been an issue because the one in the painting apparently is historically incorrect. I also have researched other inaccuracies too, I’m starting to wonder whether I should try and copy the painting or go with historical correctness!

For me personally; I would want to get the overall balance of the sculpt correct. For the most part the figures look great as individual pieces. But you are putting a lot of time into a complex piece. If you can try to visualize the completed sculpt as one; not as individual pieces.....as I said; an ambitious project but has much potential.....Jay; take it for what it's worth....It's only my opinion.

No Dan. It’s just the distance I held the the figures away from the picture.

At some point Jay; you will eventually figure out what's correct and what isn't....all I can say it's looking pretty damn impressive. Sometimes the thing about complex pieces that involve a lot of detail and figures is that the overall mass looks terrific, but if it's really looked at and broken down, sometimes individual pieces may have needed a bit more attention. But as Gregory Peck said in the movie "The Guns of Navarone"...... "You're in it now...Up to your neck":)......Keep up the good work....

As promised a few more pictures on my progress, many that’s for all the comments. They have made me think about composition/scale and natural body shapes. I’m learning as I go and on the whole enjoying the build. Desperate to stay on the flag... Jay.
