I assume that it is "Johnny Reb", because "Billy Yank" with flag there is already at "Minisoldiers" ...

Are the accoutrements accurate? Of course uniforms and kit were a mixed bag that became the worse as the war wore on...but the cartridge box looks more Union..not rivit counting, just interested to know if the figures are generic or specific to a reference

My issue is more that he has the cartridge box and rifle in the first place, but I will most likely integrate these two into a diorama that I am designing

Well, concerning the ACW and the confederate, a lot of things were mixed : civil stuffs, hunting material, Union material taken on the battlefield and/or prisoners...
I have got some books with pictures from that time and it is sometimes amazing to see the equipment.... (even sometimes soldiers carrying guns with silex percussion system !!! o_O)

I do agree, I am fairly well versed in the ACW. And something about this one doesn't look quite right.
It does look top quality tough and appears to be very well produced.
I think it's the combination of the rife, that cartridge box and his knapsack or haversack system. They appear too 'Union'. On their own it won't seem as glaring, but as they're all on the same figure, it compounds.
Shame, as I do like it.
    The standard bearer looks excellent.(y)

I have the officer, it’s a very nice figure. I want the drummer for a diorama I’m planning

Not just too Union, but also Hollywood in my opinion.

This looks like a beautifully poised figure - I really do like this one I am a fan of quite a few of their range, and this looks excellent.

There appears to be a bit of confusion as to how the blanket roll was attached to the top of the knapsack. The four small "belt loops" are where the straps that secured the blanket roll passed. The top of the knapsack was where the overcoat/greatcoat was to be secured. The soldier's blanket and shelter half were stored in the "bag" of the knapsack. As you can see from the reconstruction photos the four "loops" where the straps securing the blanket or overcoat straps passed were on the TOP of the knapsack not on the flap of it as pictured in the photo of the kit.

Love the cispiness of the sculpt but wish they would look a bit more like "ragged" Confederates or at least having a slouch hat... ;) just a little too "Union-ish" for me. Maybe it is just me and my naivity of thinking how they suppose to look ;) . I love the figure range though.

Wanted to post these news today but Martin did it first.
No need to wait till the end of November, bugler is available right now. Standard-bearer will be released in the middle of December.
