managed to get a few hours in today before work tonight, completed the first stage of the flesh,i always do this in 2 sittings as I tend to lose some of the contrast which is normal when using oils,so another session will be required,i have also completed some work on the belts and one of the gaunlets, being an imperial guard unit the belts were of much better quality than troops of the line, here I've added the seam lines on both belts and gaunlets,i feel adding these little touches gives your piece a little extra, the hand part of the gauntlet still has to be finished.
slowly working my way round the piece trying to take in as much detail as possible,i'm reasonably happy with where i'm at at present,i will complete all this part of the bust before adding the arm with the lance.
