I am currently working on the 28th foot drummer from Nuts planet and need to clear up a few things.
The figure has a lace strip on both sides of his collar, Now according to the book by C.E.Franklin, the collar should be clean, any info or comments are welcome
Also I have seen at least three of these figures painted up and all have painted the Royal Cipher on the drum a different colour (white, Red and Blue) so if anybody has info, I would be grateful.

    Hi Kev

My thoughts are that the lace should be there , seems a real shame to take it away as well..this plate shows it there !

    Kev,
nice picture, yes I have that plate as well. The lace around the collar should be there, I was questioning about the small lace tabs on the collar itself, One either side. I have look through the book and can't find any matches to the way the figure has been portrayed, hope that makes sense

    Kevin,

I think that is what Nap is saying - the small lace tabs on the collar itself shouldn't be there but the lace around the collar should be. As per the plate and dressed model.

    Cheers

The time I have seen that small tab is later in the Victorian period

Thanks Chris, for sorting out Kevin's very bad English

Kevin, thanks for taking the time to answer badly
This confirms what I had thought and I will now amend the figure according.
