It might be a photographic error, but to me the left and right collar buttons on the patch edges look slightly too big. I assume you have lots more reference photos. Would you mind posting them?

    All the best,

I saw a different versions, this two were my main references, but it looks like that those are not even the same:

I have no idea which version of "uhlanka" "podporucznik" on the first image actually wears, and what are his epaulette markings, as this should be image from WWI.
I only found explanation of ranks and markings from post-WWI period.

Guys from BAM decided to go with a private without a rank with bunch of belts hanging around, so what's next is redo of everything from the neck down using this image:

Anyhow if anybody knows what version of "uhlanka" officer on the first picture wears, and what is on his shoulder - I would like to know :)

    Hi Darko!

On his shoulder he wears a "Parade-Fangschnur" (in German words). It was to secure the Czapka.

One end was fixed to the Czapka, the other end to the button of the left shoulder board. Only worn on Parade.

The German Uhlans had similar ones...:

The Ulanka is the same on all photos - only the one on the top picture is buttoned

Thanks Martin, I figured out that it is a same piece that is attached to the top of the czapka - in fact I marked it on the first pic. but did not have such nice high res pictures of the thingy :)
Thanks a lot, it will help !

In the end I have decided to finish the officer version too - figured out if I put fur coat on the shoulder (have few reference images where is visible how the coat was worn over the left shoulder),
I do not need to know what markings are on the shoulder. Porucznik on the image above does not have epolete on the right shoulder, and the left shoulder is covered with coat :)

Private is in progress, hope it will be finished soon...

    Hi Pokrad

These look great are they going commercial as different Lancer Regts would look good to paint

Even though it's unpainted the uniform quality between them seems to show through

Small differences between them but both adding something extra

    Are these going commercial ?

    Thanks for sharing
