This one came out looking well. I've got to dirty up my KGL bust also, so I am somewhat perplexed on how much to as well as how to "weather" him as I am sure you were too. Will give yours a hard look when the time comes.

    Hi Bob

Looking good I might think about toning down the stubble a bit ..but that's me!

Must admit I would have my stomach in my mouth if I had to dirty something like this up but nicely accurate to the conditions of the troops

    Thanks got sharing

Like this...I quite like the weathering, it hard to judge how much you do especialy after youv'e invested so much time painting it clean.

    Hello Walks,
These busts are described as 200mm, which is about 1/10th I suppose. I know what you mean about weathering, too much and it destroys you work.
Thank you for stopping by to coment.

    Excellent work.

I agree regarding the cheeks, looks like serious swelling.

The weathering really adds here since the dirty elbow looks recent, it sort of creates a narrative as if he just recovered his footing.

    ausf,
Thank you for the coment, I agree with the cheeks, still it may have been a well aimed brown bess rifle butt, that caused the look.
    Thanks for stopping by.

Time to get out the purples and greens and give him a proper shiner. :)
