I have not been around for a while, but here is my latest bust. Sculpted in Fimo, Magic Sculpt and Green stuff. He is loosely based on the Floki character from The Vikings show. I intend to give him the same tatoos etc as the Floki character.

    Terry thanks a lot
Jay So this is where you have been hiding. Good to hear from you thanks for the encouragement.

I don't usually paint too much in acrylic but this one seemed to need a different approach. This is all underpainting although I have pushed the acrylic quite far and added some acrylic inks. I will now move on to working in oils to finishe of the face. The leather clothes have had their first glaze of oil paint and will be given more when dry.

Look at that texture of the skin on his bald head, only for the glazed section waiting on the next coat you would think that was a real person.
    Very good.

Thanks Terry. I have now worked over his face in oils. Adding lots of little subtle colour changes and of course, dirt. Here is his mugshot. Now waiting for the oils to dry so that I can finish his jacket.

John, face and head even more realistic with those wee touches, this bust will look great when done and you will be the only person to have one.
    Great job so far.
