It just doesn't get any better than this,Carl is the best sculptor of horses by far,these are 2 magnificent horse sculpts as are the troopers,the whole piece is just stunning.
It's my favourite battle subject as well,hav'nt been doing 120mm for some time,but i''m going to change that,I will definately paint these in the future

Good day, All!

Just received the impressive "The Clash" vignette and the 17th Lancer.
I recommmend it for thousands of reasons: beautiful sculpts, plently of movement, fine details and perfect composition, among others.
I would like to highlight a particularity that makes it really unique compared to any figure withing my (really large) collection. A concept hard to explain with my poor English: it's not about the modelled areas, but the emptied spaces. If we look at the Greys face, for instance, it's absolutely impressive the way the areas around the eyes have been emptied, enhancing the expression of the face. This "emptying" concept can be noticed in all the castings and probably is not only a sculpting merit, but casting too.
Go for it guys, you won't be disappointed and I am 100% convinced this one is becoming a classic since the very first moment.

Only one additional comment regardig the Greys sword: it's not a 1796 heavy one, or at least, the hilt is missing and the blades need a bit of shaping. A detail that can be easily corrected by any unexperinced modeller, but I just wanted to state it and inform Gordon, as otherwise, the figures are simply perfect.

No doubts: one of the best, if not the best, vignette ever.
