Hello gents, currently I'm painting this NutsPlanet 1:10 scale bust made of resin. Sculpted by Jun-Sik Ahn. I use Humbrol enamels to start with and I finish with oils. All critics more than welcome, I'm here to learn from you.

    Greetings Guy,
You're not going to learn anything from me as the face looks unbelievable. I'm guessing that the helmet is not finished as it looks too plain. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Bob, thanks for your kind reply. I'm still not sure about the helmet, I think I'll give it some more attention.

Nice work on the face Guy!

I am currently doing this one myself too, and just have to finish up the shield to complete it.

    Cheer's,
    Jeff.

Whether the helmet is finished or not, I like the contast between the plain colour of the helmet and the complex and sophisticated brushwork on the face. Actually, I think work-in-progress pieces are often more interesting than ""finished' works that often look "real", but a bit dull.

Looks amazing Guy, can`t wait to see finished bust. What did you choose for his tunic, from the movie or your design ???

Thank you Sergei, you're right on that. I prefer in-progress photos too as they're more educative.
Anyways, I'm glad you like the brushwork on the face, I'll see if I can rework the helmet a bit.

Thank you Paul, I'll stick to the movie's tunic I'm afraid.

Chris, Marc and Andrew, thank you for the motivating replies gents !

Marc, I won't make it as I have to go to the "Nieuwjaarsreceptie" with the guys from work.
But I'll jump in very soon because if I understood well, you also build armored stuff ? I am too...

I have a small update on the sword and the leather glove. They still need a lot of attention.
The sword was airbrushed with different Humbrol metal enamels and oil washes were applied on to tone down the metals.
    All critics welcome !
