Hi, I would like to show you one of figures I am sculpting. Will be in the next release of D-Day Miniature Studio. It is WW2 Luftwaffe Mechanic wearing winter quilted trousers over regular Luftwaffe Ground Crew working coverall. I sculpted him in Miliput and Tamiya Putty. The scale is 1/35, he is 52mm tall from feet to the top of his head (not cap), so could be used in dioramas with 1/32 planes I think. Many thanks to Aitor Azkue, his excellent book "The eagle has landed" inspired me to sculpt some airforce figures.
So it is the figure.. any comments are of course very welcome.
    Cheers

    Excellent work, Powel.
How did you sculpt the quilted pattern? While the putty is wet?

Thank you very much Housecarl and Taesung, I am very glad you like it. Taesung yes I sculpted it while the putty is still wet using old aerograph needle to draw it.

Oh my, . . . I think I'm really drawn to this figure because it is
different. Of course, the "quilting" of the "uniform" is quite
noticeable and thus very eye catching. You sir, are an artist, with
a very creative sense. And the fact of what he is carrying in his
hand, in my view, makes this composition even that more
interesting. Enjoy the journey. . . . it is that, the journey,
and not the destination that defines us, IMHO!!!

Lovely sense of movement and weight in that toolbox Pawel, makes my paintbrushes start to itch. . . (Of course it looks fabulous unpainted too ;)

    Hello Pawel,
Excellent sculpting and realistic pose! A small notice. I hope that you did not cast it yet. The white plastic rod in the back is not in the right place with the triangle as in the front. Is little out.

    Regards
    Stelios

Hi Stelios, thank you very much for your kind words. The rod is not attached (glued) to the box so maybe has shifted a little, it will be cast with the hand, separetly from the toolbox.
So don't worry :). but thank you for the note.
    Cheers
    Pawel
