Very nicely sculpted. I've never understood why RN and USN submarine captains (e.g. Lt Cdr Wanklyn, VC, DSO & Two Bars) are ignored but Kreigsmarine U boat captains sell abundantly.

I can't wait to see this one painted, btw I'm converting Youngs' LRDG, the one with the cap comforter to a RN guy with duffel coat hood and steel helmet for a friend, will try to post a pic in WIP/sculpting soon

Bought him today, will have to watch Das Boot again and take notes, although he does look like the live child of Jurgen Prochnow and Willem Dafoe

Not my time period but could be swayed by this stunning sculpt.

Trimmed and prepped, I might even try and do a proper WIP for him, watched Das Boot, twice, got lots of nice screen caps and googled the u boat service issue denim jacket, ironic the captain in the film wears a red white and blue plaid shirt, looking forward to the painting bit, scared, but looking forwards, now need to think of a suitable base.
