Nicely done, but as with your other lancer, I'm not sure the right arm is best posed.

Liking this, and the depiction of "Johnny Turk" whom the Anzac's (and other commonwealth forces) clashed against is nice to see.

    thanks for sharing!!

Jamie and others: This post is primarily Eduardo's and I don't want to go off on a tangent, but thought I'd quickly mention the uniform color differences. According to my references, most of the Ottoman Turk army wore khaki uniforms similar to the re-enactors in the first photo. Second photo (black and white) shows a First Lt of Cavalry in Arab keffiyeh or kufiya and possibly in the green drab uniform. The 1st Lancer regiment, which I attempted to depict, was made up of conscripts and volunteers who were Palestinian Arabs mostly and for whatever reason their uniforms were greenish drab color painted by Eduardo. This is based on Dr. Chris Flaherty's web pages on the Ottoman Turk Military. Plate 128 illustration is taken from one of those pages and shows a typical 1st Lancer Corporal's uniform and some of his equipment.

    All the best,
    Dan
