    Lovely sculpt and painting. My questions would be that his bicorne sits a bit high it seems, Napoleon favoured a chasseur jacket and he had a stable of 60 white arabian horses. So is this based on a painting or records? Sorry I'm just curious.

    The issue of the horse color is indeed interesting. I think that the painting is supposed to depict a white horse, not a light chestnut one.
    Maybe it's painted darker than it really is in order to make it stand out from the white of the snow and the napoleon's clothes as well. It's my opinion.

    This being said, I would paint the horse white.

    Seem to remember reading that his horse was on the small side.....and silvery white! :whistle:
