I agree with your first comment Mike, definitely a superb figure but the best time to be a British sailor? :wideyed: I don't think so. :)

Indeed - all rum, sodomy and the lash!

Great figure. Could this start a trend towards more naval pieces, because there aren't that many around, which is a shame.

Very nice figure great to have a alternative heads and arms.
Negative thought Not sure about sword belts
I thought Navel officers of that period wore swords from
    shoulder belts.
    Apologise if Im wrong.
Still a nice figure all the same.

Best time to be a sailor? 5,000 calories/day of variable food, paid employment, medical officer on board, citrus fruit/juice (hence 'Limeys'), usually competent officers (no purchase of commission), prize money and the knowledge that you were in the best and biggest navy in the world. Compared with life on the land or in cities, sailors were fed, clothed and 'housed' and the punishments were less severe (bizarre I know, but true).

So good they resorted to pressing men, however we are getting off the subject of the figure which regardless of our opinions of the Royal Navy at the time is still very good.
