    Good afternoon everyone,

Bent Bristle Miniatures are very pleased to announce our third release, and we are thrilled with it!

    Sculptor: Oriol Quin
    Box Art: TBD
    Material: Resin
    Parts: 10 (2 heads)
    Scale: 75mm

    ESTIMATED SHIPPING DATE - MID-MAY

"The Militia, which existed in New France since 1669, was comprised of Canadian men aged between 16 and 60 years old and were recruited from the countryside. They were poorly trained and therefore not very efficient when fighting pitched battles in open terrain – instead they relied on their knowledge of the woods to perform ambushes. They had no military uniform of their own so, during each campaign, they were only given some of their equipment. They were expected to arm themselves and to have a good supply of lead shot, powder, and fuses.

The Montreal Militia were mainly composed of travelers and fur traders. Their efficiency in ambush tactics earned them the nickname of "Wolves" by other districts. In 1759, 5,455 militiamen were mobilized to fight alongside the French during the siege of Quebec."

This figure can be represented as either a member of any Canadian or French militia in New France during the French Indian War, or as a fur trapper or trader (think of that iconic Hudson Bay Company coat!) We have included two different heads, both depicting classic Canadian headgear - the fur pelt hat, or the toque.

We hope you like it as much as we do, and make sure to secure your pre-order here - Wolf of the Woods Pre-Order

    Thank you!

As an old French and Indian War reenactor, my opinion is that you have captured your subject to perfection. A Hudson Bay blanket coat would be stunning.

I like most figures of this time period but I wish it was 1/32 or 1/30 but 75mm seems the flavor of the day anymore which I can understand that painters like the larger figures.Either way a very nice figure.(y)

Love the turning motion of this pose,

Fine sculpting! The snowshoes, cap on the first head and leggings are really neat. I agree with Paul that the turning motion was a great choice for pose. Could you post a color reference illustration?

    All the best,
    Dan
