    Hi guys,

Now that I have my painting mojo back, I've dived into a bust that I recently bought and always loved; Castle Miniatures 200mm Roman Vexilliarus. Most of you know I have a weakness for Imperial Roman figures.

The bust is very simple to build. You add the cheek guards and its done.:D

I painted the base colours in acrylic and then apply thin washes of oils over the acrylics to add depth and tone to the colours.

The face is more or less finished and now I'm moving on to the metallic colours on the cheek guards and the helmet. Aft that I'll tackle the bear hide.

As always I welcome any comments or questions.:)

Thank you Joe, Huw and Perseas.

Here are some further updates, based on where I got to last night.

The bear skin still requires some additional oil washes and some highlighting.

I'll also add a leather tie between the cheek guards.

    Thanks Nap and Brian,

It's almost finished now. Just a few minor tweaks to go and then its time to pack up the tools and convert my hobby room into a spare bedroom so my mother can stay with us for a week. :arghh::arghh::arghh:
