Hate to be a party pooper but Beneito do an excellent officer of the continental army in a similar pose but with more scenery. Apart from this being in resin unless it's competitively priced I can't see this selling.

    Cheers

    What a party pooper!
It does look a fine figure though. You do sometimes get overlap between firms with very similar subjects....

I know I am! Whilst I agree on overlap, the overlap is too much in this case from my point of view. Nevertheless I agree and can't fault the sculpting.

very nice!, i could see a great figure to convert to a French officer of the period

The only thing I would take issue with is the hat - based on what I've read and observed, there should be more of a fold, or "cock" to the front portion. This seems more like a bicorne of the early Napoleonic period, rather than the tricorne of the AWI period.
But this is a nitpick - overall, this is a nice figure, and I'm sure it will follow me home from a future shopping excursion!

I kind of agree with you Don, nevertheless, keep in mind that some of the regiments and militias received clothing from France , and for what i have research French hats wore well on its way to become bicornes rather than tricorne hats.
I also noted the Hessian hats ( love their shape ) looked more like the shape on this figure.
Best regards and i am glad to always learn with your feedback on AWI stuff :)

Actually, let me fix what i have me tion about the Hessian hats, not really that shape.
The hat on this figure look much like the Art Girona Spanish drummer , Pensacola 1781.
