in 2011 I painted this miniature for the first time, becoming that time an inflection point for me. I enjoiyed a lot even with th hard work it was, get lot of possitive critiques and become Inspirational to other painters.

Some months ago I was requested to paint enother Sg. Connor's version based on my original one. I really don't like so much to do the same again and again, but if needed I do, but trying to add a different point to get 2 different miniatures. This time I wanted to went a bit far away in the blues treatement (a more complex version, but based on my Ultramarines painting tutorial you can read on my web) and improve the weakness the first version had (base and face).

Even more, I wanted to do a conversion to give it a slighty different taste so I choosed the coffe mug. Conversion looks easy but I had to cut the arm in 2 pieces and the leg in tree ones and later resculpt the joints. And by the way I removed the hair.

truth is that I was not sure I could improve the first one, but I'm plenty happy with this one, hope you like it too. In a few days I'll post all the WIP pics (some of them you can see in my facebook) and I'll explain a bit what I did.
