    Hi all,
I realise this is in figure news but I feel it deserves the widest publicity for all manufacturers.
I am not posting any links and his user name is not under his real name so this should not give adverse publicity.
In order to get his information I have had to purchase a piece, I am sure a refund will be on its way, but it gives me a foothold to open a dispute and obtain personal details.
The annoying thing is I sold the piece to him.
    Please distribute far and wide.

I will post his personal details later as I have his address from the transaction.

    Hi Claude,
I was intentionally vague to not give too much away as I wasn't the only one affected, but needless to say, yes, and what really stuck in me was I posted it too him as he bought from me direct, 2 items in total.

Now the bloke ain't that clever as he used his real name on eBay and by purchasing an item I got all I needed.
Now I can correspond by letter and from what I understand he is being blacklisted from several companies.
I have also reported him, although now he has no more products on eBay and will open a counterfeit paypal report.
He has also been spread across the Facebook community as the scum he is.
I hope some of our french modellers spread the word.
    Best wishes

Well done Graham, directly dealing with and exposing these people is exactly the kind of action which will be effective in protecting your work and your business.

    Well done Graham.
When will us modellers learn you only get what you pay for, Buy from legitimate traders like yourself and get a first class service , advice ,spares, transit damage replacement. etc.
Buy from re caster it may be cheaper but not buy much, only to get a poor quality model, no customer service.
The long term is the legit trader goes out of business, the re-caster has nothing to re-cast. AND MOST important we have nothing to paint.

So Ladies and Gents please stand by your legit traders.

Way to go Graham!!! I try to pester these a-holes every chance I get!! I always ask if the listing is original or a cheap pirated knock off - usually they just block me but, at least they know someone is watching them!! Dave

    Hi mate
I have now put him on our black list. it's good to name and shame these people we at Ellie's Miniatures fully support any effort that goes towards dealing with this scum. We know of at least one of our kits that has been pirated by a chap in Poland. we contacted Ebay but got very little help from them, I contacted the chap but never had a response I'm pleased to say that he has not been posting on ebay since. I got four friends to contact him about it , he said it was original, but he made the mistake of saying 6 available. needles to say he was very quick to remove it when he found out his game was up. but ebay were very poor in their response I think it's profit first with them. What I will say is that it can happen to any company large or small, new or old.

    Cheers

Thanks everyone, I know here on PF you support us manufacturers and I appreciate fully I am not the only one and why I posted the details, Although some of us are relatively small it still hurts in the pocket and master funds pot and equally I get annoyed that you genuine people pay the full price when those with less morals walk away having paid peanuts. Cheers Ian, I know you run a professional business mate, anything we can do to help each other is a small victory :). I will always do my upmost, as others, to bring these thieves down as best I can.
    All the best

I used to spend a LOT of dollars on eBay but have not used them in two plus years. Two reasons - their unwillingness to police illegitimate transactions like model piracy and counterfeit autographs and secondly because of their global shipping program, a cash grab that results in Canadians paying extra shipping and customs import duties, even when low value direct shipments trigger no such duties, on most shipments from the US.
