Ray - Last one of the Fort Ducks Red Devil that I saw on Ebay went for around $350.00 - I would like one also but, at that price - I can live with out it!! Dave

I'm also after the Pegaso Foreign Legion Camerone set if anyone sees that going.

Wow $350 I think the original price was $150. The FD Mounted Sioux was a very popular piece as well. 120mm has always been my fav scale so now I pick up anything in that scale for a bargain (but not $350 :) )

    Cheers

I have the FD Red Devil which I purchased directly from them back in the day. One of my earlier kits when I was getting back into the hobby and been meaning to redo or get another. At those current prices however, I may stick with what I have.

I don't know about holy grail or not ,but I've been looking for two of the old Cameo 80mm Empire Series figures. The Life Guard Trooper heavy Camel Corps Sudan 1884-5 and the Naval Brigade Sailor from the Boer War. I also been looking for the Mil Art Capt. Highland Light Infantry 1899 from the Boer war. :)

    Regards,
    Chuck

New Hope Design did a 15th century Border Reiver, a small diorama with mounted figure and a roadside gibbet, missed one years ago on e bay .
Also Phoenix Models did a Young Winston figure and also a 17th Century mounted Cromwell iornside, a few Series 77 still looking for there were a couple of figures from Napoleon Egypt campaign.
Though did just get Lasset mounted 1898 officer ,so just the camel figure to find!

I've got one of those from the first time around Del - I'll see if I can find him and take a photo. I bought a few of JB's figures they all had that kind of 'paint me' quality.

Gary - your Young Winston Fella was for sale on Fleabay and I think is available again from the folks that are re-doing the old Phoenix models; let me know if you need a link

I think the Phoenix figure was called "Hasslerigg's Lobster" I would love to find some of the Cafe Stormme figs. A huge Range covering all periods. Ray

I was the under bidder on ebay! Same seller had both the mounted ECW kits the lad as the mounted officer from Hazelrigs and the Palimenterian trooper ,the one in armour I have already ,at the time it was critised in Military Modeling as the had was so unique you would only buy one !
The Young Winston figure came in for a critical response in Almarks Model World magazine, Phoenix also did a mounted officer for the charge and a trooper ,managed to pick up some of the Benassi figures I needed but also missed a few this week on e bay but never mind

Not really like selling recasts. The publisher of the CD has the publishing rights. Anyone who scans the mag for a buck, that's more like recasting, with the attendant inconsistency in quality.

I would like the the large scale bill hearne figures for the motorcycle combination. I saw them being advertised in scale modeller in the late seventies as resin recasts ,being sold by a company in America? if anyone knows if they are still for sale, please contact me. thank you/badger

I doubted the publisher of the CD has the publishing rights. There is no mention on their website.
It only indicated: "We spent over 2 years acquiring all the Campaign Magazine issues and we pass on this effort to you at a reasonable cost."

Another figure I keep a sharp lookout for is the New Hope Design Boer War 5th Royal Irish Lancer trumpeter which was taken from the illustration on the cover of the Osprey Boer War uniform book ,which I believe was based on a Bill Herne model he did around 1972?
I did pick up some WW2 figures done by Roy Dilley for Model World which made me very happy this Christmas
