Hi all! This is my latest project titled "Broken Unit", which is now largely completed. This small bust of JMD has painted many times. Therefore, I wanted to add not an additional painted version. So thought, how I can show a variation of this bust.

First, I sculpted some more shirt with draping it on the arm stumps of the bust. It should not be too much, because my mechanic should watch out of an aged boiler (unit). You can see that some urgent repairs needed. Besides, he licks well left, a small oil trace can be seen on the floor.

I used very different materials for this small scenery. The boiler itself was born from an old plastic container. The cover is the closure of a baby food glass which I attached with some plastic sheet. For the tubes I used drinking straws. Small screws or nuts were plastic bars found in some model kits, cut and pasted. Everything was covered by silver spray paint and later aged with pigments, colors and painted here and there some traces of rust. The blue safety glass, through which you can see in the boiler, is a part of a small plastic spoon. The interesting tube right behind the boiler is the head of an old electric toothbrush. The manometers were formed of some plastic sheet and wire. The handwheels of the valves were also made of wire and the crosses made of cardboard. The ladder was composed of polystyrene profiles. For the "air conditioning unit" rear left plastic sheets, nail heads, as well as a decomposed tap aerator were installed. The tool box and its contents like a hammer also made from plastic sheet, parts of a ballpoint pen and a paper handkerchief soaked in white glue for the cloth. I found a few warning signs, as well as the plates for the manometers on the Internet. After appropriate reduction they were printed and washed with pigments and colours. For the floor, I have poured plates of dental plaster. All the bust and the broken unit was painted with acrylic colours and aged with pigments.

I hope you like the small scenery. Anyway this project was a lot of fun. In particular all considerations, what you can assemble from different small parts, was a very creative work.
    Cheers,
    Bastian
