Now that I have your attention… This is a conversion of Reaper Miniatures’ 28mm Brigitte, the Naughty French Maid into something a bit off the beaten path. It’s the third in a series of pizza-themed gaming minis. You can see the original piece here: http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/brigitte/latest/50084

The conversion involved a number of small simple modifications: removing the top of her head and adding the hat, removing the feather duster from her left hand and then repositioning the arm and adding an oven mitt, adding a whip to her right hand, and removing the apron. In hindsight, I probably could have simply altered the apron to something more appropriate to a kitchen.

The hat is two pieces of Aves Apoxie Sculpt putty formed to represent a cross between the standard dominatrix peaked hat (think Nazi officer) and a chef’s hat. The hat was finished off with a small bill made from sheet plastic.

The left arm was cut in two at the elbow and secured with superglue and a straight pin bent at about a 45-degree angle. The oven mitt is putty, but I left the back part of her maid cuff and ruffles to form the rear part of the mitt.

I removed the two middle fingers of her right hand then added a whip handle made from plastic rod. The rod was positioned in her hand and the remaining fingers and thumb were bent around the handle. The two middle fingers were then sculpted around the around the handle.

The pizza is putty applied to a .010” plastic disk. Circles from brass tubing were stamped into the putty to represent pepperoni.

The piece was primed with Floquil Model Railroad Gray Primer and painted with Reaper Master Series Acrylics – basically various shades of black and gray and the Deep Red triad. The flesh tones are a mix of the Tanned Skin and Rosy Skin Triads (1:1 mix of shadows, base, and highlights) with Burgundy Wine for the darker shades and Pure White for the lighter highlights.

The base is more Aves rolled out and tooled to look like a dungeon’s stone floor. The whip is a piece of soft, thin wire super-glued into the handle. That’s pretty much it.

    Questions and comments are welcomed.

    Cheers,

    Glen

Thanks everyone! I don't play the games, so I don't really feel the need for the pieces to stay in character! I'm glad you all like it.

    Glen
