    Hi Guys ,

Thought I would start another thread with whats running around my bench now , its a version of the Elan 13 bust (The Old Major) ....a lovely piece with a face to die for.....great sculpt by a member of the BMSS John Regan ...full of character features ..the bust not John (great bloke though) !!! .
As I have such a great mate (creepy eh) Jimbo added a "few things" for me ..the remaining bits of the torso the arm and what he will be holding a hat with feather .

The inspiration is the cover (by Bob Marrion) of the Partizan book on the Uniforms of the Monmouth Rebellion ..which is one of Robs Favourite periods along with the ECW

Painted using Acrylics ..Jo Sonja and Scale 75

    Very good additions Kevin,
Looking like a winner Mate. Well done to Jim too, not only for the additions but for having the self control to stop at the waist.
Hurry along now and give us more to enjoy.

    Hi Guys ,

Thanks for all the comments , Jim has done a cracking bit of work on this and it does indeed add something ...hope I can do it credit !!!! (Can't understand why when I go to his house I hear the sound of the door locking:facepalm:

I have worked a bit more on the cuff lace , this will be done in NMM but I am toying with the use of the new Scale75 metallics set  on the armour ....still to do the eyes as well (just noticed that !!)

Might put further highs on the wig

    Thanks for looking in

Really like what you have done on a very character-filled bust. I remember seeing Mr Regan's sculpts in an old modelling book. I really like that add you have put on him.

    Hi Guys ,

Its finally update time (hard to get painting ..so much happening at work!!!)

More highlights on the wig hea wears

Reworked the fleshtones ..just was not happy with the right eye so sfter much delibertaion decided to give him a patch (he is still going to be a Life Guard and not a pirate!!) ..this is just based at the moment ..going to be a brown leather....sorry Rob couldn't resist it !!!

The cravat is finished ..though might add a bit moe highs ...

The crossbelt will be green but with NMM gold details ..all based up ready

The armour has been striped 3 times , finally got the effect I wanted ..hopefully ..of a well worn and not pristine bit of equipt

the sah again has been stripped back and based again !!!!...NMM fringes will be the order of the day

The cuffs have also been took right back ..I removed the lace/buttons my mate Jimbo put on ..felt after much looking they were too proud ...again both the sleeve and lacework are based ready ..lacework will be NMM

Gauntlet ..fairly happy with the result but will probably revist the highlights again

Then there is the hat to do ..with the edging being painted on ..NMM of course !!

Am I enjoying this paint ..well YES I am ..now I have managed to stay awake after work !!!, I really like Robs releases always full of character .
