I've just returned to work after a 3 week break and wanted to update you all on a few projects I've been working on. This bust of a Moroccan Gormier was a challenge to paint. The stripes on the djeballa were more complicated than they needed to be, but I found myself pushing to add more and more stripes. It was also a challenge to replicate the skin tones of a North African figure. Hope you like it and as always I welcome your comments.

    Great work Tony.
I think that you nailed the flesh colour for North Africa.
As for the stripes, they look great but you must have been cross eyed by the end of play.
    Cheers,
    Keith

    Thanks Guys,

Nick, I'll bring him along tomorrow night mate. Yes Keith, cross eyed and in need of a stiff drink after the stripes!

I should point out that I changed the helmet on this figure and decided to go for one with a hessian cover. To sell this effect I covered the helmet in tissue paper and white glue to enhance the texture.
