This is a conversion of Carl Reids/ Mitches Military Miniatures 1/9 USAAF POW (Great Escape Steve McQueen) to Steve McQueen in the 1960's film "The Sand Pebbles" where he played the part of
U.S. Sailor Jake Holman aboard the USS San Pablo, a Yangtze river patrol gunboat set in China 1926, the original bust was mostly cleaned off & re-sculpted using Magi-Sculpt, the pose of the mouth was changed plus his hair was shaved off & re-sculpted to a shorter haircut as per the film.
The pose is roughly from the original film poster.
    Hope you like him.
    Cheers(y)

What can I say a first class conversion innovative captures Steve McQueen really really well, can see legs on him with a battle ship gray bulkhead and porthole behind this is a real seller .

I'm a huge Steve McQueen, the crow and the pocket are a bit thick but I think we can sand them do a bit. I like the vein's in the hands. This is a must buy.

Very creative idea and great execution. One to be proud of. What other McQueen film characters could be rendered from that bust? Anyone for "The Blob?"

How about Lieutenant Frank Bullitt Colin but only if someone can do the Ford Mustang to go with it.

Nice so far, I would make the ears a bit shorter in length though, at the moment they look like those of a man much older.
