BLACK HAWK TOYSOLDIER: THE TOURNAMENT 1350s

Metal and resin cast figure hand painted and assembled
The exact origin of the tournament is by no means easy to establish, but the existence of military games in ancient times is well known. Skill in the use of arms is only acquired by extended training, so no doubt even in remote antiquity men prepared themselves for warfare by means of mock combats. In fact, properly speaking, the word tournament or “tourney” refers to groups of warriors engaged in battle, whilst the term “joust” applies to just two contestants. This new collection by Black Hawk is a faithful recreation of a typical European tournament from around the 1350s, comprising of a complete set of accessories and interchangeable, multi-purpose figures, allowing for the creation of many exciting tournament settings.

Needs Danny Kaye and a vessel with a pestle or a flagon with a dragon. He would be sold as "anonymous jester."

I agree with dendritic. Surely Andrea are better than this. I saw better looking stuff in the 70s.

I really wonder what the company thinks is the customer target group that would pay those prices for toy looking products. :meh:
It would be better to sell them unpainted.

I missed the fact that they are billed as toys from a company called black hawk....anyone know if that is an Andrea affiliate?

They're listed as toy soldiers not in the same category as they're figure range hence they'll probably be massed produced and will have a market place for some folk.
