Folks. This is a rough working of my next-but-one project. I've raided my 1/10th scale parts bin and then ordered a Panzerfaust from Steve over at Reedees Miniatures.

Which figure did the head come from? I need one for my parts bin. I like kit bashing as well.
    Thanks

Jason, the head is from Young's MG42 gunner. The body is from the MG34 kit. The hand has been drilled out as has the MG34 Gunner's helmet to aide fitting it to the head.

Hello Dave, I like your conversion very much. I wish Young would release some separate head sets, and also some equipment sets as well. I also like that Panzerfaust from Steve. Does the Panzerfaust come with decals or transfers? Young busts are very well detailed, offering many such conversions, I like your start to this one, best of luck with it. Regards, SG:)(y)(y)

Hudson and Allen have decals that include Panzerfaust markings, 1/9 and 1/16th on the same sheet. "Defense of Berlin", about halfway down this page. Strangely there are no pics on their site of the actual product, I assume they are still available since the site is updated.

I've re-worked the pose after having to scratch-build parts of the Panzerfaust following a 'technical error' on my part :sorry:. I think this'll look better than the original pose/idea.

tumblr_lvg63wUEpb1r6cij9o4_1280_1.jpg Hello Dave, I also like your new pose for this piece. It has been awhile seeing any busts, or figures with the Panzerfaust. I was thinking of doing a figure w/Panzerfaust in 1/16th scale, using this photo for reference: x_751821ce.jpg It would also make for a nice looking bust. I really like your idea, and perhaps I will also do a bust. Thanks for the inspiration. Regards, SG:)(y)

Strum. Those photos are great. I may have to invest in a grenade and/or shovel for my conversion now. Cheers. ;)

    Quick Update:
I scratched an infantry assualt badge in lieu of the wound badge. The K98 pouches a re scratch-builds using a plasticard master and then moulding them in baking foil lined blu-tack and pouring in layers of thin super glue sprayed with zapper superglue activator. Bend the blue tack out the way, a quick clean up and hey presto!
I've decided on an SA-Mann, Wehrmannschaft towards the war's end a la Ron Volstad watercolour I have found in one of my reference books.

    Feedback/constructive comments encouraged please!
