Completed Critique Australian Digger & Flutterby

    This started as New World Miniatures kit.
    Changed the head to a Hornet head.
    Hollowed out the helmet and added a chin strap.
    Added the rifle sling.
    Added a strap and lanyard to the canteen.
    The figure is for sale if anyone is interested.

    Lovely paint job on this conversion, however Australian soldiers in WW2 wore brown leather boots.

    Tony's dead right about the boots. They also tended to wear closer fitted "shorter" shorts and not the bombay bloomer type of the British at the time.

    Very nice painting, Gilbert. I'm pretty certain I've seen photos of Aussie soldiers in the Singapore garrison wearing those baggier style of shorts - earlier in the war.
    Whatever the case, great work mate.
