Lovely piece of work Colin. The flesh tones are very realistic and I love the uniform colours. If you please share with us your uniform mix.

Pedro - Basically the CSA grey was a mix of Vallejo royal blue + stone grey + ivory with a bit of black for the base coat. Highlighted by introducing more and more ivory as I transitioned lighter.

After getting the base grey and some highights done to my satisfaction, I washed him with diluted liquitex burnt umber ink mixed with some diluted citadel blue ink. The umber was to introduce some indication of soiling in the grey and the blue to retain the grey tone and not have it shift toward brown too much.

Pants were Vallejo oxford blue + khaki + ivory.

That's as much as I recall.

    Cheers and thanks

    Hi Colin,

You did a nice job on this figure. I actually have this on my desk ready to prime. Can you tell me how you attached his sword ? I cannot
figure that out. I am trying to see a enlarged picture of that side out of all the photos you took but cannot enlarge it. I am having trouble
on placement and how to glue it on. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you

    Dee -
Dee - here are a couple of in progress shots I pulled off my hard drive. You can see a sword hook on the belt. There is also a sword ring cast to the hook. Line up the ring so it looks to be contacting the sword at the reinforcing band. (I just edited this as I had it backwards, for some reason thinking that the ring was cast to the sword). You might want to pin the sword as it only contacts the figure in one spot and can break easily. Hope this helps.
