Hello folks, i've made a little bit more progress on my troopers.
Only the face, bayonet, shoes and hair is left to be done, then some re-touches but it will be ready soon.
    Cheers

These are 40mm figures by Trident, sold by Miniature Service Center in California. Sculptor is Sean Judd, I believe.

Vario, thanks for the link, the Dabrant figures looks awesome, too bad they don't make figs for the american and french revolution period.

Hello planeteers, i have made some minor re-touches on my troopers today , but diverted my work to one trooper that was on the side of my workbench.
Originally this trooper was going to be a Touraine chasseur, but i decided to make him a grenadier with the regulation uniform for the Agenais Regiment, which at Yorktown was on the right hand side of the Gatenois regiment.
The uniform is white with violet/purple cuffs and trimming.
I decided to use the tricorne hat with ponpon based on the regulation of 1779, but made fringe epaulettes insted of the "duck foot" shoulder straps since many elite units kept the fringe ones.
Originally the head is of the black troops in French service, got rid of the lower lips, and made a more pointy nose and added mustaches, all using greenstuff.

Nice work on the detail conversion. Amazing how much a touch of greenstuff can totally reform the face.

    Well done

    Colin
