    Nice one! The deer roach headdress has always been a stumbling point for me when it comes to sculpting certain native American subjects. It is nearly impossible to sculpt in a manner that can be easily cast. This one looks better than most - but still misses the "airy" appearance of the real thing.

    Beautiful piece.

    Mike, cutting tufts of Silfor grass can replicate a roach quite nicely. Their burnt grasses look like deer hair and can be painted to replicate colored roaches, as well.
