A brief intro to the fictional character Count Brass Lord Guardian of the Kamarg, Yisselda's father. Wears armour made of Brass. A warrior who has fought in many of the great battles fought in Europe and whose counsel was originally sought by Baron Meliadus and the Dark Empire of Granbretan. Fought alongside Dorian Hawkmoon and the others at the Battle of Londra, wearing a mirrored helm given to him by Orland Fank during which he was killed.
He is a creation of Michael Moorcock an excellent Fantasy/Sci Fi author who's work I really enjoy and as soon as I saw the La Hire bust he sprang to mind, apart from paint the only actual difference is he will carry a sword not the axe of the original kit.
I am basing him roughly on these two pictures

So after all that here's where I'm at the armour is printers ink and enamel, the face oils. Nothing is glued as yet. Please feel free to comment and criticise (y)

Cheers Del I have a few ideas about some other conversions from his books but I'd love a really nice Elric figure to come out

Great choice of bust for Moorcock, it fits perfectly,
Brilliant start Mate, metals look very good. I will say this, but you are probably set to do it already, a little more shadow definition on the flesh and beard will bring out the character even more. I really like his expression.
Keep up the good work Steve.

Thanks Carl I'm quite pleased with them, Cheers Keith, yeah the face is just blocked in for now really just a base colour to try and get the beard base right (y)

Brass armour should look quite spectacular when fully painted , weathered and polished up.

Cheers Tony, yeah I agree although mine will be more weathered than polished as the armour on the bust is quite battered and dented

    That looks really good Helm.

Funny enough I was looking through some Chris Achilleos books and some comics I have and was thinking about doing an Elric the Albino Prince of Melniborne.

Thought that an Elf figure or the Pegaso's Roming Knight would be a good starting point for him.

Thanks Nick yeah I've looked at a few and none have really given the same "vibe" for a conversion as this did for Count Brass if some nice sculptor out there sees this and could throw in the eagle pillars that would be nice :sneaky:

What colours did you use for the flesh base?

It was a basic flesh mix but with a heavier ratio of yellow ochre as Count Brass is described as having skin weathered by sun and wind to almost a brass hue, so I was trying to get that effect but not sure if it works or not as yet waiting to see what it dries like mate
