I too love Historex. The Carabiner is one I would like to paint, but I don't know how to paint the copper cuirass and helmet. Would you be so kind as to try giving a detailed description on how you did it?
    Thanks,
    Pete

Beautiful, I have boxes of Historex parts and kits and often think of returning to them, just time, even just handling the kits bring back memories ( they introduced me to figure modelling) and inspiration, definately still a place for these as shown by this lovely piece. Your work reminds me of Pierre Conrad and his Historex pieces.
    Best wishes
I like the base very much also

Very nice mounted figure composition - historex can look stiff but not this one. Very natural and fine painting. I like these kits a lot - I often find myself dwelling over older kits (the ones that got me started - airfix collectors series, historex, tamiya 1/35 military series, tradition of London ) even though modern sculpting and casting is often superior the charm and nostalgia they evoke is irresistible.
    Cheers Mat

Lovely job. Historex are still among my favorite figures as well. I have a number of them in my collection, and many still unbuilt kits.

Airfix 54mm and Historex introduced me to figure modelling too. An excellent job of this figure.

You have nailed this one , always hard to make Historex look fluid ,the pose is really good on this one looks more like a metal kit, which is the hardest thing to do with these figures (y)

Lovely work. Though mine were never as good, it takes me back to when I used to make Historex figures in the '70s and makes me wonder if I should look at Historex again, now that I've returned to the hobby.

Historex is great! Love the painting and is it a combination of sets from Historex or did you use a special number of them?

Great work! As mentioned, Historex figs generally look very stiff but you managed to make this look very natural. Your whites and metals are spot on.

Hope to see more of these done by you
