Nello, if you cast and bring a bunch of these to MFCA, and you'll sell every one! Great figure. Will definitely be getting one of these, if you decide to make it a commercial piece.

Nice figure and animation. Unfortunately the 44th New York's zouave uniform was not worn at the Battle of Gettysburg. There were only two units for certain that wore zouave style uniforms was the 146th New York , which was more inspired by the French Tirailleur Algerien (Turco) and the 114th Pennsylvania. There were other regiments at Gettysburg that had this style of uniform at one time before the battle or would recieve them in the future. Though there were a number of regiments that had this type of uniform few wore them through a long portion of the war. ~Gary

Thank you so much for this advice ..
I will give this piece another historical set, may be between the years 61 and 62 . I presume that this uniform could be worn at the beginning before gone dismiss . Do you have any suggest ?

    @ Paulo ..
The figure you talk about is probably the Swiss mercenary from reinassance .period. I will try to open up another post with some pics ..

    Thank you all guys

You could just put the following on the name plate.

    44th New York
    1862

If there were any remaing zouave uniforms or even parts they may have been few in number. The Regiment left New York in October of 1861. The regimental historian recalled "The zouave uniform was given up very soon...and the Regular U.S. uniform substituted."
