I have it in the grey army conveyer belt and he is close enough to the front to open the box.

Super bust as usual from young miniatures couldn't fault it .
He does look a bit like Sean Connery though ,but thats OK Quality on the shield is superb also front and back.(y)
Buy it Now as they say :D

Capitano,..... I also thought it's a bit, 'Sean Connery', like. ... However that is irrelevant,... it's the quality that I am interestested in!... more so, if it is side by side, with the 'Andrea', after the battle bust! (Which I know you have done!)... and, are they of pretty much the same scale?.... just recieved, a 'Pegaso', Templar Bust!... not overly happy with it!...... As I put these two together!, (Pegaso &Andrea), and the Andrea Bust, blew the Pegaso out of the water.... So, this Youngs, Bust!... how does it compare? in both scale and quality?

    Cheers,

    Hi Mark,
Young ´s bust are the best quality casting among all busts on the market. I have this bust at home, and the quality is far better, than the Pegaso "mess" (talking about busts) or Andrea After the battle bust. Not a single bubble or a single scratch on the Young´s casting, all parts fit perfectly.

Side by side to the Andrea after the battle bust ,they are about the same , the youngs busts will blow many a competitor out the water for quality and price
They do have quite large casting blocks though but if you have a dremmel it will make short work of them . Don't let that put you off they are crisp flash free
with good quality resin and no air bubbles .
Will PM you on some other thoughts out with the youngs stuff

Tubby I have 2 Young busts as well, very good quality but I must confess I have not seen the other brands.
I'm sure you've already made up your mind though.

On removing casting blocks, once you've sawn off the majority of it do you have anything like these?

I swear by them for removing material in bulk, they knock grinding stones into a cocked hat!

Einion,...... Yes!.. when I got the Dremmel, I also bought the whacking great 600 piece, attatchment box!...... And a shed load of mini- drill bits, and a plethora of other bits and bobs!... I must have been barking mad! Although I was just going to use one of the small sanding/grinding bits.

Carl,.... I remember your very helpful email, and scans, and the other research I did on it. It was when this piece was in my hands, and stood next to the Andrea bust! the difference in quality was so obvious, but the Pegaso was more expensive!! Even down to the density of the resin. Perhaps it was wrong of me to compare the two. However when one gets an, OK, and the other a Wow!.that says something. .. I will do it, and probably enjoy it, it was just my initial reaction. Maybe my expectations were to high in the first place. But when all is said and done! I have it, so I may as well get on with it.(y)
